JUST AN ORDINARY DAY…SO WILL THE RAPTURE BE

rapture

This is a joyous message and yet a drill for all the born again brothers and sisters. We all have heard and seen the many signs and wonders of the last days and it is true the day of our Lord Jesus’s return is no longer near but upon us already. None of us knows if it will be today, tomorrow or the years to come, what we know is we have been asked to remain vigilant and watchful since He will come like a thief in the night at any moment now.

Matthew 24:42 – “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”

1 Thessalonians 5:2 – “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.”

We all are watching out for the signs that have been clearly written in the Bible (Word of God) and so have I.I realized that all the moments leading up to the day that is famously known as the rapture day or day of the Lord are quite dramatic and who can fail to notice?

Then interestingly enough on the appointed day of the rapture which no man knows about.

Mark 13:32-37 – “But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father”

These events and signs quite down and we see just another ordinary day.

Just an ordinary day will the day of the rapture be. No major event will be occurring on that day though the world events will be at their peak. Nothing in the skies will indicate that it’s time to run for cover. Nothing unique or peculiar will form the subject of this day. Just as in the days of Noah, people will be doing ordinary human things like getting married, having babies and all normal things. The day will even look like a good day on earth. This day is captured in…

I Thessalonians 5:2-3 “for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.”

Yet on this plainly simple and ordinary day everything will change suddenly within the twinkle of an eye

1 Corinthians 15:52 – “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”

Then the whole world will see the Son of man come down the cloud…

1 Thessalonians 4:16 – “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.”

Then the dead in Christ will be taken first…

1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 “For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have died. For this we declare to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will by no means precede those who have died. For the Lord himself, with a cry of command, with the archangel’s call and with the sound of God’s trumpet, will descend from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up in the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the air; and so we will be with the Lord forever.”

Then the mind blowing disappearance of all the children of the world and the Christians who have confessed that Jesus is their Christ and savior and been living Holy lives will occur…

Luke 17:34-37 – I tell you, in that night there shall be two [men] in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left…

As the world watches these events they will be struck by the terror of the Lord as they cry out to God to save them too but it will be too late to be taken in that rapture. What a horrible hour this will be for earth. When I think of being left behind my heart knees give in, in terror for the following years will be the worst this world will have seen as the great tribulation will begin as the wrath of the Lord will be poured on earth…

1 Thessalonians 5:9 – “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.”

1 Thessalonians 1:10 – “And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, [even] Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.”

Daniel 12:1-2 – “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation [even] to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.”

The people who know the Lord Jesus and are born again have nothing to fear but only if they have been living a holy life. We are encouraged that with regards to the events of this day we are not totally in the dark…

I Thessalonians 5:4-9 “But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

To every born again Christian if you have ears please listen for this day is not near but it is now and coming at an hour we do not expect…

Luke 12:40 – “Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.”

In our preparation we are called to repent of all our known and unknown sins and called to be Holy as the one who has called us is Holy. Are you walking in the light? Are you mixing business with pleasure? Are you serving two masters? Have you forgotten your first love? Are you too busy for God? Have you gone astray?

Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what is amiss so that you get your house in order before this day. Then remain watchful as you and I pray. Let us also pray and ask God to have mercy on us and find us worthy to be part of this rapture. It is said 80% of the church will be left behind. Where are you? Is it the 80% or the 20%?

As for the ones who have not yet given their lives to Jesus Christ yet, please do so without wasting another single second. The word of the Lord says:

Romans 10:9 – “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

The Lord Jesus is coming at a time we least expect it. Just an ordinary day. When we think the day is beyond ordinary let’s be vigilant for it is at a time no one is expecting. An ordinary plain day and at a normal hour. Just an ordinary day will the rapture be. Beware.
